Mission Statement of SkillsNET Foundation

The mission of the SkillsNET Foundation is to provide business and industry comprehensive workforce development open resource software programs to provide cost effective Skills, Competency, and Talent Management Solutions and public services for at-risk populations in the United States and developing nations, to ensure that these at-risk individuals acquire the knowledge and job skills necessary for a productive and meaningful life.

The Foundation seeks to accomplish this mission through direct services and in collaboration with industry stakeholders, non-profit organizations, local and international governmental entities, educational institutions, and faith-based human service agencies. 

Vision Statement

The SkillsNET Foundation is organized exclusively to provide open resource solutions for Human Captial Management, Workforce Investment Board regional skill systems, European eCompetence, Japan Skills System, and other large scale KSA and Competence framework systems. Further, the Foundation's public service team focuses on charitable, child abuse prevention, and educational purposes, more specifically:

  • To assist organizations in the implementation of a Human Captial or Talent Management solution using innovative web-based tools and analytics
  • To assist post secondary education institutions in the North America, European Union, Pacific Rim and Asia in their efforts to align accredited courses to workforce technical skills and worker-based certification assessments.
  • To offer assistance to child protective services in various states to meet the Federal standards set for the state reviews where workforce issues are involved
  • To provide educational services directly and through workforce commissions, community colleges and high-schools to help prepare foster care teens, who are aging out of foster care, to move towards independent living and employability
To be a part of community building in our local area through offering a Nonprofit Development Center and through hosting a community website to support new and well-established  agencies  in the area of business development
